Combining Taste and Tradition
This past Lag B’Omer, Chai Rotel distribution was changed forever when renowned chef Pinny Freed traveled to Eretz Yisroel to personally oversee the Lag B’Omer preparations performed yearly by Tzidkas Rashbi. Caterer at Renaissance Hall in Boro Park, Pinchas, a.k.a. Pinny, Freed remained in the tent throughout Lag B’Omer, keeping an eye on the bubbling pots and simmering pans while at the same time absorbing the smiles and compliments coming his way. As word spread, more and more people congregated around the free-food tent that Tzidkas Rashbi had set up to sample some of the great food Pinny had prepared.

“All the work was worthwhile when I saw the way those people who had walked into our tent worn and famished walked out refreshed and happy.” said Pinchas, “They were ready to continue celebrating with their fresh supply of energy.”

This is the goal of Tzidkas Rashbi, so why shouldn’t our goal be achieved?

For centuries, Jews have experienced the power of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai’s blessing. The tanna promised that those who increase the joy at his kever on Lag B’Omer will be blessed.

People who distribute Chai Rotel - 54 liters - of drink, to the celebrants, earn Rabbi Shimon’s bracha.

Many great rabbis spoke about the power of Chai Rotel. Rabbi Yehuda Leib Hornstein zatzal writes, in his Sefer Tel Yerushalayim, about two childless men who were blessed with children after distributing Chai Rotel in Miron on Lag B’Omer. The Kedushas Zion, Rabbi Benzion Halberstam of Bobov zatzal, urged his chassidim to distribute Chai Rotel. And many others spoke or wrote about the segulah*

Tzidkas Rashbi can distribute Chai Rotel on your behalf - so you can reap the benefits of the segulah*, from the comfort of your own home.

Tzidkas Rashbi fulfills Rabbi Shimon’s wish in a most beautiful way.

A Blast of Cool Air
Tzidkas Rashbi’s massive air conditioned tent beckons to weary, hot celebrants.

Hot Catered Meals
World-renowned caterer Pinny Fried samples a portion. It must be perfect. By days end, over 100,000 people will have enjoyed a delicious, nourishing meal.

Cold, refreshing drinks
There’s nothing quite like an ice cold drink on Lag B’Omer in Miron. The sun, the crowds, the dancing, drain participants – who throng to Tzidkas Rashbi’s tent to enjoy your Chai Rotel contributions.

And comfort
Miron originally had only one decrepit bathroom. On Lag B’Omer, the line snaked through the crowd. Last year, Tzidkas Rashbi erected permanent modern facilities. For the first time in history, visitors enjoy adequate, well-maintained facilities – a great chesed.
